Postfix issue

1. Problem on telnet

got problem telnet localhost 143 :

BYE Your account is temporarily unavailable (+t bit set on home directory).

how to fix :

sidiq:/var/spool # chmod -t mail/

2. Problem on webmail ( squirellmail )

Error opening ../data/default_pref
Could not create initial preference file!
/var/local/squirrelmail/data/ should be writable by user daemon
Please contact your system administrator and report this error.

how to fix :

create directory at squirellmail/webmail directory :

/home/mailweb/apache/webmail.smallidea.org/htdocs/webmail # mkdir data

/home/mailweb/apache/webmail.smallidea.org/htdocs/webmail # mkdir attach

/home/mailweb/apache/webmail.smallidea.org/htdocs/webmail # chown daemon.daemon data/ attach/

/home/mailweb/apache/webmail.smallidea.org/htdocs/webmail # ./configure

1. Data Directory

/home/mailweb/apache/webmail.smallidea.org/htdocs/webmail/data

2. Attachment Directory

/home/mailweb/apache/webmail.smallidea.org/htdocs/webmail/attach
