1. Login to cacti


2. Now we're in front page cacti, you'll see on first page we can just started to add host. cacti will guide you only 3 steps, Create Device, Create Graph, and View to see the result.
3. Click on Create Device. new page will appear and show list of host with current status.

4. Click on Add ( red circle ) to set device and define a host to monitor.

5. Fill this form to define your host. for your information, you just have to fill on General Host Options category and let another category with default value. for example :
Description : host2 <==== name host Hostname : 192.168.0.1 <==== you can use ip address or FQDN ( ex: domain.com ) Host Template : Local Linux Machine Click Create button when finished.

6. Host have been created, and saved. continue it to create graph by click Create Graph for this Host

7. Click on radio button to make a selection, i prefer to select all. click Create if done.

8. Click create to continue.

9. As you can see, graphs for host2 has been created. at this point you have finished to add and create graph new device. Now go to the left pane on Management menu and click on Graph Tree submenu.

10. Click on Default Tree

11. This option is to add host that we have created before and show it on Graph information. click Add to continue.

12. Change value on each category. first category is Tree Items, change Parent Item into root and Tree Item Type into Host. second category Tree Item Value, change Host with new host you created before ( 192.168.0.1 ) and change Graph Grouping Template into Graph Template.click Create to continue.

13. Host2 have been added as default tree, click Save to complete.

14. Click on main tab Graph to show process graph on your host. this is the result :
